Muslim Council of Elders (MCE) expressed its resentment Friday over the current tragic situation witnessed in Iraq's Fallujah, Al Bawaba News reported. It stressed on its refusal to the siege policy imposed on the city, saying that Islam bans such actions leading to the loss of human lives. The council, headed by Azhar's Grand Imam, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, said that what is happening in Fallujah contradicts with the religious values and the international treaties related to human rights. It called the international community and human rights organizations for moving immediately to end this siege and to provide help and support for the city's residents.
