Head of National Council for Women (NCW), Maya Morsi met Monday President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, in order to brief him on problems of Egyptian women, Al Bawaba News reported. Morsi gave her sincere thanks and appreciation to Al Sisi for his clear interest in the problems of women since he took office. She highlighted the efforts being made by the NCW to carry out a campaign to obtain the national ID cards to five million women in order to include them in the social solidarity projects. Also, she explained that the NCW communicates with two million women annually to inform them about their rights, so that they can spread the message to other women in their rural and remote communities. NCW head revealed the council's plans to launch a national campaign to eliminate illiteracy among women. In addition to, NCW's plans to maximize the role of young people to participate in finding solutions to the problems of society, by training young women into becoming young pioneers who teach other women about their rights. Morsi uncovered the NCW's intentions to increase the participation of women in local councils. She pointed out to the importance of increasing the number of legal aid offices in all Egyptian governorates, noting that a significant portion of court cases are related to family issues.
