Salah Abdeslam 'will not fight extradition to France'

Salah Abdeslam, the main suspect in the Paris terror attacks which killed 130 people, wants to return to France "as soon as possible to explain himself", according to his lawyer.
Abdeslam appeared in court this morning in Brussels and was expected to fight extradition proceedings but has now reportedly changed his mind.
Salah Abdeslam has asked me to inform you that he wishes to leave for France as quickly as possible.

Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said last week that at worst it could take three months for Abdeslam to be handed over if he battled extradition.
Abdeslam is due in court again in Brussels on March 31 for the execution of a European arrest warrant issued by France.
