Egypt's MP Tawfik Okasha said on Sunday, he would not stand for investigation over hosting the Israeli ambassador at his home. The parliament decided Saturday, to refer Okasha to a special committee for probing his act while he slammed the decision as "wrong'. I have not breached the traditions of the parliament, he said. The controversial MP has accused Nasserist MPs of "inciting sedition" against him, saying "it is a complicated matter". Earlier on Sunday, MP Kamal Ahmed physically attacked Okasha using his shoes, triggering the parliament speaker Ali Abdel A'al to dismiss both parliamentarians. In 1979, Egypt signed a peace treaty with Israel, ending years of armed conflicts. However, the public opinion in Egypt rejects the agreement.
