Speaker of Egypt's parliament Ali Abdel Aal apologized Tuesday for the recent violations committed by a number of MPs against the journalists, Youm7 reported. Abdel Aal said, "We appeal Egypt's Press Syndicate, which we appreciate, to retreat from its decision to boycott the parliamentary sessions." "We, as the parliament, appreciate and respect the journalists' role to report the facts to the people. We also realize their effort they exert to cover the sessions transparently," Abdel Aal added. He also called the journalists for respecting the MPs, stressing the need for cooperation between the parliament and syndication to overcome any differences.
