Minister of culture, Helmy El Namnam inaugurated Tuesday first contemporary art festival at Ain Shams University, in presence of the university's Vice President, Abdel Wahab Ezzat, Al Bawaba News reported. The festival is held under the chairmanship of Specific Education Faculty's Dean, Amani Hanafi Mohamed and the festival's guest of honor, Ahmed Nawar. It is scheduled to continue until February 18 at the hall of contemporary art. The minister expressed his happiness to hold such festival, describing it as an important part in the culture of the community. He praised the university for taking such step and its consideration for that type of art.
