Egypt has suspended the negotiations with the Turkish side, in the framework of reconciliation between Cairo and Ankara backed by Riyadh, over negative statements of the Turkish foreign minister against Egypt, diplomatic source revealed. Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in Riyadh on Sunday that he has spoken to his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry during a number of meetings and expressed Turkey's desire to normalize relations with Egypt, while Shoukry considered those statements are "futile" and are incompatible with the Turkish interference in the Egyptian domestic issues. Egypt has conditioned its reconciliation with Turkey with stopping the Turkish criticism to Egyptian regime, changing the hostile speech against Egypt in international events, stopping the logistic and financial support to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), the source told al-Bawaba news Wednesday. "The dispute exceeds the provocative statements of Turkish officials, it concerns the national security of Egypt, since Turkey supports Hamas and MBs," the source added. Its worthy to mention that President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will not take part in the Islamic Summit that will be held in Istanbul in April, according to foreign affairs source, adding that Egypt will reduce its level of representation at the summit.
