The secretariat of Egypt's parliament fuels the competition between the Coptic MPs, including Margraet Azer, John Tallat and Emad Gad, Al-Bawaba News reported on Wednesday. Margraet Azer expressed her keenness to run for the position even if she failed to gain her parliamentary bloc's support, saying that the matter should depend on efficiency not Favoritism. She stressed the need for nominating a woman for the position, saying that the Egyptian women performed a major role in the country during the recent years and have the right to be represented in such high positions. On his hand, Parliamentarian Emad Gad decided to run for the position despite his Free Egyptians Party's refusal. The Liberal party, in return, suspended his membership Gad stressed that he could change his vision, saying that the increasing number of candidates who revealed their intention to run for the position made him hesitant. The third Coptic candidate for the position is John Tallat, who ran for the elections as independent in Shubra constituency. He expressed his confidence that he would gain a large number of voted if he took the step to run for the position. He expressed his keenness to contact with the different candidates to gain their support during the vote regardless of their political tendencies.
