President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met Tuesday with Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella in Cairo, in the presence of Minister of Communications Yasser Al-Qadi, Al-Bawaba News reported. Presidency spokesperson, Alaa Youssef said that Sisi praised during the meeting the role played by Microsoft to support the scientific community as well as the development of the communication technology sector that boosts the country's national income. The president stressed that Egypt seeks to increase Microsoft's investments in the country, praising the existing cooperation agreement between the Egyptian government and the company, under which Microsoft gives software licenses to the government at low prices. For his part, Nadella said that his visit coincides with the company's celebration of the twentieth anniversary of its presence in the Egyptian market, noting that the company is working to increase its activities and double the number of its employees. The CEO of Microsoft confirmed the company's interest in the training and preparation of young cadres, pointing out that the company has a creativity and development training center in Egypt.
