Egyptian General Book Authority (EGBA) released a new novel titled "Al-Madinah Al-Munawara in the age of Circassian Mamluk Sultans", written by Hassan Ahmed Baraka, Al-Bawaba News reported Saturday. The novel discussed the cultural, social, economic and political conditions under the rule of Circassian Mamluk sultans who were in full control of the cities of Mecca and Al-Madinah. It also showed how the status of both cities was linked to the political and environmental conditions at that time. The novel, as well, signaled to the Islamic urban movement that included the mosque of prophet Muhamed (peace be upon him) in addition to a number of Islamic architecture masterpieces.
