Egyptian authorities allowed 1,807 Palestinians to pass through the Rafah border crossing in both ways on Friday and Saturday, 613 of them crossed the border back to Gaza, according to the state-owned MENA. The Egyptian authorities reopened Rafah border crossing point with the Gaza Strip for two days, to enable stranded travelers on the Egyptian side to return home, in what was to be an "exceptional" case. Egyptian authorities infrequently opened the border one-way only, for Palestinians wishing to cross from Egypt into Gaza.
