The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have offered Tuesday a $200 million loan to finance a power plant in Damanhur, northwest of Cairo, Al-Bawaba Nes reported Wednesday. Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation, Sahar Nasr witnessed the signing of the loan deal between EBRD and the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC). The new plant will cost an estimated $1.3 billion and is also funded by European Investment Bank, Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, and African Development Bank (AFDB).
