Minister of International Cooperation, Sahar Nasr announced Saturday that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to upgrade Egypt to operations country, will improve the ability to implement projects. Nasr said that such achievement reflects is the confidence of international institutions in the Egyptian economy, Al-Bawaba News reported. The minister stressed that this decision will give Egypt a real boost in implementing development projects in the coming period and increases the size of funds in the next two months. She explained that as a result, the economy will benefit a lot and grow even more, pointing out that EBRD's decision confirms the safety measures taken by the government in the economic, social and financial field. This will most likely push the EBRD to increase investments in Egypt and help diversify investments, especially in development projects, she added.
