There is a potential for anti-terror cooperation between Russia and the West, despite their differences on method and approach, Russia's presidential spokesman said Monday. "Diplomats are working on it. Last Saturday's [talks in] Vienna showed that there is understanding of a need for such cooperation and that there is potential for it," President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. He explained that "an agreement between Russia and the West is impossible because there is no such thing as the West. Each country has its own stance on various aspects of fight against terror. So if you think that the West is united in its approach [to terrorism], you are wrong." Countering terrorism has been high on the agenda of the ongoing G20 Summit in Antalya, Turkey. The world leaders' meeting has been overshadowed by last Friday's attack by Islamists in Paris that have so far killed around 130 people and prompted wide European measures to bolster security.
