The largest banks in the local banking market, National Bank of Egypt and Misr Bank, resume on Tuesday, a 3 year-introduction of new savings certificates, after raising the price of the annual return by 12.5 % paid monthly, through about 848 branches, Youm7 reported. Chairman of the NBE, Hisham Okasha, said that the sale of Platinum savings' certificates for a period of 3 years, in two days, amounted to a total of EGP6 billion, stressing that the branches and banking units of his bank, amounting to about 348, are to continue selling certificates.
