President Mahmoud Abbas Saturday offered his condolences to Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and to the families of 224 people who lost their lives after a Russian airliner crashed in a mountainous part of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula earlier Saturday. According to the Guardian, "A Russian plane carrying more than 200 passengers from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh has crashed in central Sinai with most of those on board feared dead." Abbas expressed his and the Palestinian people's full solidarity with the Russian people during those difficult times, offering sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
