Spokesman for High Elections Committee (HEC), Omar Marwan announced that HEC has finished printing 54 ballot papers for voting in first round of parliamentary elections, Al Bawaba News reported Tuesday. Marwan pointed out that HEC has printed 27 million ballot papers for voters on individual candidates and same amount of ballot papers for voters on parties' lists candidates across 14 governorates. A source within prime ministry said in a statement to Al Bawaba, on condition of anonymity, that each governor in the 14 governorates where the first phase of the upcoming parliamentary elections will be held, is assigned to form an operation room to follow up the elections process. The source revealed that representatives from the ministries of defense, interior and local administration will be present in each operation room across the 14 governorates. Each operation room would be assigned to make sure that the elections process is being held in a safe and secure atmosphere, as well as provide all the logistical equipment needed to complete the elections process with ease, the source added.
