Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry discussed Thursday the current deteriorating situation in East of Al Quds (East Jerusalem) and West Bank, with his Jordanian counterpart, Nasser Judeh, during a telephone conversation. The two sides discussed the best way to deal with the situation and contain its repercussions on the political and security levels, Al Bawaba News reported. Spokesman for the ministry, Ahmed Abu Zeid said that the minister is conducting extensive talks with active parties regionally and internationally to contain any potential dangerous escalation between the Palestinian and Israeli sides. Abu Zeid stressed that the aim of these talks is to ensure the protection of the Palestinian people. He added that Shoukry has instructed the Egyptian embassy in Tel Aviv to carry out urgent talks with the Israeli side to ensure the safety of the Palestinian people.
