The High Election Committee (HEC) will announce, on Tuesday, the final lists of parliamentary candidates who will run the first round of elections, in preparation to begin their electoral campaigns after being postponed for 24 hours because of Administrative Court's delay in considering electoral appeals during the Eid holiday, Al-Bawaba News reported. The HEC will allow on Tuesday and Wednesday the entitled candidates to amend their status in elections (as individual or party candidate) or withdraw from the electoral race, and the committee will reveal the final lists at the end of the week. Dr. Hassan Emad Makawy, head of media performance of parliamentary elections, stated that the HEC members have detected several violations in some satellite channels during the holidays, as they hosted some candidates to talk about their electoral programs, which is considered as electoral campaigning. Makawy added that Tuesday's meeting will address these violations and report them to the HEC, to take the appropriate decisions. The HEC detected 17 electoral campaigning violations so far.
