Al-Sisi underlines importance of relationship with U.S.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met Saturday with a number of prominent and influential figures in the American society, on the sidelines of the UN's General Assembly 70th session in New York, Al-Bawaba News reported.
Spokesman for the presidency, Ambassador Alaa Youssef said that the president emphasized on Egypt's pride of the strategic relations and partnership with the US.
The president noted the importance of upgrading these relations to new heights at all levels in the light of the common challenges faced by both countries.
Also, al-Sisi welcomed the results of the last round of strategic dialogues between the two countries, which was held in Cairo last August. He pointed out that Cairo's meeting discussed ways to improve bilateral relations and enhance coordination between the two sides to deal with the current regional and international challenges.
