Egypt's Finance Ministry has allocated about 5 million EGP for Information Technology Industrial Developments Association (ITIDA) to activate the electronic signature services in 10 government agencies, al-Bawaba News reported Sunday. ITIDA's executive director, Hussein Al-Greteley said that the authority began, during the current fiscal year, to cooperate with 10 state entities to launch the electronic signature services. Regarding the application of the service between state authorities and citizens, Al-Gretely added the sector needs further development. The application of the electronic signatures service, approved by the law 15 of 2004, provides the necessary regulatory environment to support the transaction documents signed electronically which help lifting the administrative work efficiency as well as activation of e-commerce in addition to upgrading the performance of government services.
