President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi contacted with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the latest development of Al Aqsa Mosque clashes, Al Bawaba News reported. Presidency spokesperson Alaa Yousef said that the Sisi condemned the Israeli forces for storming the Mosque and attacking worshipers. Youssef added that Sisi stressed on Egypt's support for the Palestinian people and leadership in their quest to secure the Islamic holy sites in East Al Quds. Sisi pointed out that Egypt supports the establishing of an independent Palestinian state within 1967 borders, in accordance with international terms and the United Nations resolutions related to the Arab peace initiative. For his part, Abbas thanked President Sisi for his support to the Palestinian case and people, praising his calls for the establishment of the Palestinian independent state.
