Mexico's Foreign Minister Claudia Ruiz Massieu arrived in Cairo International Airport, early Wednesday to meet with the Egyptian officials to discuss the killing of a number of Mexican tourists by mistake, Al-Bawaba News reported. A number of Mexican tourists were killed during a safari trip in Egypt's Western Desert on Sunday. The Interior Ministry blamed the tourists for existing in a banned area, coinciding with a clash between the security forces and terrorists. The Mexican minister has been accompanied by a number of diplomats and families of the Mexican victims, according to media reports.
