Cairo Criminal Court began on Sunday the re-trial of the Egyptian steel tycoon Ahmed Ezz in corruption cases, al-Bawaba News reported. Ezz, former secretary of organization in the dissolved National Democratic Party (NDP), faces charges of profiteering, embezzlement and public money squandering. The Cassation Court in Dec. 2013 ordered a retrial after the Giza Criminal court had delivered him a 37 year sentence.
