Egyptian forces continued Friday their military operations against extremists in the cities of El Arish, Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid in the Sinai Peninsula, Al Arabiya News reported. Sources who spoke to Al Arabiya on condition of anonymity, said that the army killed 48 terrorists and destroyed their vehicles and motorcycles, which were used to target security forces. Armed forces also managed to dismantle 22 improvised explosive devices and demolished a number of tunnels and supplies belonging to those terrorists, the sources added.
