21 citizens died Tuesday and 581 others were badly injured over the heat wave that hit Egypt since the beginning of August, al-Bawaba news reported Wednesday. In an official statement, The Health Ministry announced the death of 21 persons, due to the escalating high temperature that reached 41 degrees Celsius, most of them were old. Most of the injured people got cured receiving the necessary treatment. The ministry has urged citizens to take greater precautions, including drinking more water and attempting to avoid strenuous activities throughout the midday and afternoon hours, the hottest times of the day.
