Egyptian security officials denied the body of Essam Derballa, a Jama'a Islamiya senior figure who died in prison, was delivered to his family, al-Bawaba News reported Sunday. No permission has yet been issued for the body to leave the prison hospital, the officials said. Derballa died Saturday night due to a circulatory collapse and a nose bleeding, according to officials.
