Egypt completes digging work in new Suez Canal by Friday

Egypt will complete digging work of the new Suez Canal corridor by next Friday, several days before the actual deadline of the project, Head of Suez Canal Authority, Mohab Mamish said Monday.
In a phone call to the state-run television, Mamish asserted that the new route will be fully equipped to assure ship trafficking in the canal.
Mamish indicated that suitable security measures are adopted during the inauguration of the new waterway scheduled on August 6, to secure the world leaders who will attend the international celebration.
