A sound bomb exploded Monday near Asyut governorate's prison, no casualties were reported, Al Bawaba News reported. Bomb disposal experts intensified their presence immediately in the blast scene to scan the area for other potential threats. Egypt has been hit by a string of deadly blasts claiming hundreds of lives, mostly among security personnel since the ousting of former President Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
