Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Juba, South Sudan's capital, on Thursday to participate in the celebrations of the fourth anniversary of its independence, MENA reported. South Sudan managed to achieve its independence from Sudan after years of conflict with the central government in Khartoum. The step came upon a referendum conducted for the South Sudanese people in 2011. Shoukry will deliver an oral message from Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to his South Sudan's counterpart to discuss the ways to develop the bilateral relations during the coming period. The Egyptian official is scheduled to discuss the recent developments witnessed in South Suddan and the efforts to reach a political solution for the current crisis between the government and the opposition.
