Al Kahera Wa Al Nas TV channel's management decided Saturday to suspend broadcasting of ‘Bedon Mekyage' program's host, Toni Khalifa's interview with columnist, Abdel Rehim Ali, Al Bawaba News reported. A source within the channel who asked to remain anonymous revealed to Al Bawaba that the reason behind preventing the broadcasting of the interview is that Ali uncovered secrets and surprises about public figures and celebrities, including owner of the TV channel Tarek Nour, during the interview. Ali has previously set a condition for accepting to do the interview, which was that the interview would not to be subjected to any editing and to broadcast the interview as it was originally recorded, without any censoring or deletion of any word or statement. Khalifa accepted his condition, but after the interview was recorded and reviewed by Nour, the owner of the TV channel refused to air it, because Ali had criticized him in the interview. The interview was scheduled to be aired on two parts, because it was long, but Nour asked to record a new one instead. Khalifa is used to host several public figures and tends to interview them about sensitive issues.
