Egypt's security authorities managed to thwart attempts adopted by Muslim Brotherhood (MB) aiming to incite violence against the Egyptian state, Al Bawaba News reported. The authorities said, in a televised statement, that the banned group planned to collect intelligence information about Egypt's institutions to reoprt them to MB leaders at the international organization. It added that the plan aimed to launch terrorist attacks against Egypt's police, army, civilians, media personalities and judges. It was executed by a terrorist cell named "Sons of Khairat Al Shater". The statement declared that the security forces seized large quantities of arms and ammunition, as well as arresting a large number of terrorist elements after thwarting the terrorist plot.
