Arab Shiites have aligned with Tehran out of pragmatic necessity, head of Al-Ahram department for International Affairs, Ossama Al Dalil told Al Bawaba Egypt in an exclusive interview. "This limits the extent to which Iran can rely on Arab Shiites in the Mideast to serve its purposes", he added, pointing out that the Shiite leadership at the moment was in the hands of Persians, not Arabs.
