The Egyptian Supreme Administrative Court dismissed Saturday a lawsuit against the Salafist Nour Party for lack of jurisdiction, Sky News Arabia reported. The court rejected a lawsuit filed by two lawyers requesting the disbanding of Al Nour Salafist party for being unconstitutionally formed on the basis of religion. "The court has referred the case to the Administrative Court for lack of jurisdiction," the Supreme Administrative Court said. Al Nour party was established in the wake of the January 25 Revolution that toppled former president Hosni Mubarak. It took part in the mass protests that ousted Islamic president Mohamed Morsi in 2013 and participated in drafting the 2014 constitution.
