Egypt's Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohamed Badr Eldin Zayed said Egyptian aid supplies for the Syrian refugees arrived in Beirut International Airport on Tuesday. "The aid will be shipped over the next three days to the Syrian refugees in Arsal village, northeastern Lebanon," the statement read. The aid, sponsored by Egyptian Defense Ministry, is scheduled to be transferred to Beirut aboard three planes throughout three days starting Tuesday, state run news agency MENA reported. The supplies, which include medications, medical equipment and food supplies along with tents and blankets, will be distributed to the refugees under the supervision of Lebanese Social Affairs Ministry. "The aid reflects Egypt's awareness of the humanitarian suffering of Syrians displaced in Lebanon," Zayed added. Lebanon hosts more than 1.3 million of Syrian refugees, according to the UN Refugee Agency.
