A street cleaner was killed late Saturday when a bomb, planted near a tram track, exploded in Mataria, northern Greater Cairo, a security official said. Bomb experts immediately combed the area, searching for other potential threats in the neighborhood known to be a stronghold of Muslim Brotherhood supporters. Mataria recently witnessed deadly clashes between the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group and security forces. Since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in 2013, explosions have been occurring across the nation targeting police and army personnel as well as civilians.
