German Interior Minister, Thomas de Maiziere announced Friday that 650 Germans have joined Islamic State (IS) Jihadist group to fight with it in Syria and Iraq. De Maiziere added that the number of Germans who joined IS is similar to that of the French and Belgium people who joined IS, pointing out that the number of people who join IS from Britain is decreasing. "The number of people travelling there has increased and the number of people who have battle experience and know how to use weapons has also increased." de Maiziere said. He pointed out that the security authorities have a lot of information about the Islamic community in Germany, adding that the authorities knew the identity of the 650 jihadis who left Germany.
