El-Watan newspaper reported Friday that an explosive pack detonated at Eskot area, located east of the city of Alexandria, leaving a woman dead and four injured. Youm7 newspaper also reported that the unidentified suspects have planted the explosive pack near a police checkpoint to target the officers, but the explosion hit a microbus that was behind a police vehicle at the checkpoint. Reports state that the victim's name is Sarah and the four injured people have been quickly transported to the hospital.
