Egyptian authorities issued an ultimatum to Hamas Wednesday following the large explosion at the Egyptian-Palestinian border that targeted an Egyptian armed vehicle, according to Ma'an news agency. Egypt warned Hamas that if the movement repeated such attacks, Egypt would take serious actions against it, an official source said. The same source noted that Egypt will not abandon its humanitarian role towards the people of the Gaza Strip and that Egypt vows to reopen the Rafah border crossing for patients and students regardless of the Egyptian court's verdict declaring al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, a terrorist group. Hamas and the Palestinian Scholars Association denounced the ruling against al Qassam, calling it a dangerous political decision.
