Dozens of Houthis demonstrated in front of Saudi Arabia's embassy in Sanaa on Sunday demanding the immediate release of Yemeni detainees in Saudi prisons. Demonstrators also demanded the Saudi monarch and government to stop intervention in Yemeni internal affairs. The Houthi protesters expressed their refusal to divide Yemen into six regions, based on the national dialogue conference last year. It came one day after Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz decided to release around 80 percent of the Yemeni prisoners in Jazan, Saudi Arabia. Yemen has witnessed massive violent clashes between the Houthi fighters and the national forces during the last few years causing instability and chaos in the country. The Houthis participated in the Yemeni demonstrations in 2011 that ousted Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh. They took part in the National Dialogue Conference in February 2014, which called for making Yemen a federation of six regions.
