Egypt's delegation, led by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, will head Saturday the African commission of governments and leaders for environmental affairs, as part of the 24th round of the African Summit in Addis Ababa, according to Youm 7 Newspaper. Shoukry will deliver a speech on behalf of President Abdel Fatah Al Sisi on Egyptian efforts to tackle environmental issues, and the importance of international cooperation to solve environmental issues in Africa. The commission will discuss the African Union budget and African support of Egypt's bid to represent North Africa in the United Nations Security Council. President Al Sisi cut short his visit to Ethiopia to attend the summit and returned to Egypt on Friday, following a series of deadly attacks in Arish, North Sinai on Thursday which left at least 30 people dead.
