The "Media workers against insult of the Prophet" campaign formed by Egyptian journalists, filed a complaint to the secretary-general of Arab League Nabil Al Araby Tuesday against French magazine Charlie Hebdo, according to Almasry Alyoum newspaper. The campaign noted that while the journalists were against the terror attacks against Charlie Hebdo, the magazine's insistence to harm the feelings of Muslims compelled the group to urge the Arab League to discuss the matter with France. The campaign asked that the Arab League address French authorities, the EU and UN to stop the offensive magazine's cartoons and oblige it to apologize to all Muslims. The campaign also asked for logistical support in order to sue the magazine. The campaign will organize a protest against the magazine, in front of journalist's syndicate in Cairo. Charlie Hebdo was attacked by Islamic extremists January 7 in Paris over caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. 12 people were killed, including some of the magazine's veteran caricaturists. In response to the attacks, the magazine published a new issue containing new caricatures of the prophet. The 5 million copies published on January 15 were sold out almost immediately.
