The 46th round of Cairo's International Book Fair will be held on January 28, at the international fair grounds in Nasr City, under "culture and innovation" as the slogan of this round. The fair will end February 12. Saudi Arabia was chosen the fair's guest of honor for this round, and religious scholar Mohammed Abduh, founder of Islamic Modernism as the character of the year. The Fair, which was first held in 1969, is one of the biggest book fairs in the world, drawing hundreds of book sellers from around the world and about 2 million visitors each year.
