Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou and his Zimbabwean counterpart, Walter Mzembi, signed Tuesday an understanding memorandum for tourism cooperation between the two African countries. The memorandum aims at exchanging experience, raising tourism investments and empowering training programs for tourism associations and companies as well as increasing tourist trips with low costs between the two countries. Meanwhile, the two ministers held a meeting in the presence of Egypt's ambassador to Zimbabwe Bassem Khalil, and the Ambassador of Zimbabwe to Egypt Mabanga Chris, as they agreed to launch an initiative to promote tourism between the two countries in the framework of "Tourism development in Africa," including the launch of an Egyptian tourism week in Zimbabwe. A Zimbabwean delegation is currently visiting tourist destinations in Egypt from 21st to 27th December as part of promotion of the tourist destinations in Egypt.
