The Islamic Research Complex launched Thursday a preaching campaign in attempt to spread awareness on the threats of the 28 November marches. The Grand Imam of Azhar Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb urges the preachers to intensify their efforts to confront the wicked calls of destroying the military and the state, Mohie el-Din Afify, Secretary-General of the complex said in a statement. Afify explained that the awareness convoys of Azhar would cover various regions of the country as well as schools, colleges, sports clubs, and companies. He added that the campaign includes major Egyptian provinces; Ismailia, Port Said, Suez, the South Sinai, Matrouh, Fayoum, el-Minya, Bani Seuf, Qalubyia and Sharqia. The decision comes in response to a call launched by Islamist political organisation, the Salafi Front, and former Islamist President Mohamed Morsi's supporters for formal protests on 28 November, marking the anniversary of the first day of parliamentary elections three years ago.
