IN HIS EFFORT to boost production in all governorates, President Hosni Mubarak visited the industrial zone northwest of the Gulf of Suez on Tuesday. During his three-hour tour he inaugurated several industrial projects, including a sugar refining factory and a ceramics plant, and inspected existing projects such as the Egyptian-Chinese Company for Oil Excavation. Two days earlier he visited Sharq Al-Uwainat, where 240,000 feddans of land are expected to be reclaimed by 2017 and a number of ambitious cattle rearing projects are located. They are run by the army, the Ministry of Agriculture and investment companies.
