By Fayza Hassan A detailed history of Agami has yet to be written. While the poets, writers and historians who took Alexandria as their muse abound, none have been very prolific about Agami. References to the area are few and far between, and one has to rely more often than not on oral testimonies in which accuracy is clearly mixed with a dose of fantasy. Is Agami somehow less worthy of poetic lyricism or academic seriousness?
