♣ In the framework of the campaign “We Love Egypt”, intended to encourage domestic tourism, Luxor Governor General Tarek Saadeddin is inviting private universities and organisations to visit the city to demonstrate the stability of the security situation there. The German University in Cairo (GUC) has been the first institution to respond, sending a delegation of 39 students including a football team and a basketball team supervised by Farouk Al-Razzaz, head of the Department Student of Activities, and Rana Ibrahim, the university's media coordinator. On their way to Luxor, the delegation met with Minister of Sports Taher Abu Zeid, who was excited about the trip and its sports activities. At Luxor Airport the delegation were received with flowers by local girls in Pharaonic dress. Saadeddin gave a press conference attended by the delegation and many guests thanking Ashraf Mansour, GUC chairman of the board of trustees and the founder.
