THE ARAB Federation for Youth and Culture invited participants at the Fourth Arab-African Youth Environmental Forum to take part in cleaning the streets of Luxor and in planting trees in various parts of the city. Luxor Governor Ezzat Saad accompanied the young people and took part in planting the trees. Participants in the forum also visited the Temples of Luxor and Karnak, as well as the Hatshepsut Temple on the west bank of the Nile, attending the sound-and-light shows at these sites. They toured the new water station serving Aramant and Al-Maraaza, part of a LE140 million project that will lead among other things to the creation of a 1,400 acre plantation using recycled water.
