BREAKING: Car bomb injures policeman in Sixth October City

A car bomb has exploded in Sixth October City on the outskirts of Cairo, injuring a policeman, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
Unidentified assailants placed a homemade device below the car of a police brigadier-general, which blew up when he started the engine.
The wounded policeman was transferred to a nearby hospital.
Explosives experts are searching the area for further devices.
Attacks, mainly against security forces personnel and installations, have grown common since the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi last summer.
